ANNO 1701 Demo

The ANNO 1701 demo version is now available as a free download. After exhaustive beta testing, fans now have the unique opportunity to play the eagerly anticipated empire-building strategy game on their home PCs!

The demo version contains a free continuous game with the virtual computer opponents Carmen Marquez and Hendrik Jorgensen. Fans of multiplayer games can play the multiplayer mode in ANNO 1701 with up to 3 friends via a network or the Internet. The demo version is limited to 90 minutes of gaming time and is playable up to the civilisation level “Citizens”. The informative and full tutorial is also included in the demo version. Players can choose between two difficulty levels in single player mode and can also play on both single player and multiplayer maps.

How fertile is an island? The analysis of an islands' resources is a true challenge for the discoverers in ANNO 1701. Exploring newly-discovered islands thoroughly to determine their fertility becomes especially important to when satisfying your Settlers' desires for Alcohol and Tobacco products.

A Settlement's development starts with its founding, and that development requires a large number of buildings. The Settlers have begun construction on five of these, such as an Iron ore mine, a Smelter and a Tool smith to finally begin producing those badly needed tools themselves so that they can continue development.

Meanwhile, the Saboteur is sneaking around the opponents Market wagons and manipulating their axles so that they will break the next time the wagon is loaded, causing a widespread disruption in the transport of goods.
